Sooo...I'm not very current with the anime world, but what do you people know are the popular animes/mangas/video games out there right now? And what are the older ones that everybody knows about and likes? I see a lot of KHR and Kuroshitsuji and Hetalia fanart around dA, but that can't be everything that's popular right now, right?

Popular in America - Bleach, Naruto, One Piece, Vampire Knight, Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, Ouran High School Host Club
I suggest staying away from some arts, though. People like Bleach art more than Naruto art. ( I found this out with my buttons at Anime Bosotn.) FLCL also isn't very well noticed.
Detective Conan was noticed by quite a few, but it wasn't as popular as Ouran. Ouran was the most popular by FAR. I also suggest Lucky Star, Higurashi, and The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi. (Oh! Azumanga Daioh too!) Anything funny that has characters people love.
For video games Zelda and Final Fantasy is popular, though people usually stick to the fricken amazing artists for that kind of thing. It you can draw Super Smash Brothers characters as tiny prints or keychains or something, those could sell, but large prints, yet again, are dominated by the art prodigies. (Prodigy Bombay. xD )
